Skyfense provides bot detection, fraud prevention, and ad-spend protection for online storefronts. This policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Skyfense website, dashboard, services, and related support interactions. When a merchant embeds the Skyfense probe in its storefront, the merchant decides why visitor telemetry is collected and is responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consent required by applicable law. In that context, Skyfense processes information on the merchant's instructions.
2. Information we collect
Account and workspace information
When you create or manage a workspace, we may collect your email address, password hash, workspace name, slug, authentication records, Shopify connection details, and messages you send to us.
Storefront and session telemetry
The Skyfense probe may collect browser and device characteristics, network and approximate location signals, page and referrer context, click and interaction events, fingerprint signals, automation indicators, and risk assessments. The system uses these signals to return an allow, challenge, or block verdict and to provide session-level forensics to the merchant.
Ad attribution information
When configured by a merchant, Skyfense may collect advertising click identifiers and campaign parameters from Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, or UTM links. We use this information to assess invalid clicks and report aggregate protection results.
Technical information
We may receive IP addresses, request timestamps, browser metadata, error logs, and service usage information needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve Skyfense.
- Detect automation, fraud, scraping, account takeover, and checkout abuse.
- Attribute and measure invalid advertising traffic when enabled.
- Authenticate users, manage workspaces, and provide support.
- Diagnose incidents, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.
4. Sharing and disclosures
We may share information with infrastructure and service providers that process it for us, with the merchant who configured the storefront probe, when required by law, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell storefront telemetry or use it to build advertising profiles for unrelated parties.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, investigate abuse, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Skyfense uses access controls, signed sessions, password hashing, tenant isolation, and standard operational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal information, or object to certain processing. Storefront visitors should first contact the merchant whose site they visited. Account holders can contact Skyfense directly at hello@skyfense.com.
7. International processing
Skyfense may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or organizational safeguards for international transfers.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@skyfense.com.
